So today my kevlar vest arrived. Perhaps you are wondering why I got one in the first place. I just think it’s good to have a kevlar vest. Real kevlar does not deteriorate over time, and it will protect against weapons like 9mm guns, shrapnel or knife attacks.

Maybe in the near future society will look like “Fallout 3”, or there is some time of temporary crisis, it’s good to be prepared. Or to bring to the forest when hiking or just spending time in the wilderness, it will protect against sharp stones, branches or potential attacks by wild animals.

My gear is the same one used by Germany’s military and GSG-9 swat team police. The majority of armor vests do not include full side, shoulder, and collar coverage. But this one has 6 kevlar paneles providing complete front, back, side, shoulder and collar coverage.

I also figure this kind of equipment will soon be harder to get. Already it is illegal in many states including the US and Australia, to export, import or in some cases wear this level of equipment (Level IIA threats) without special permission, bla bla etc.

In the EU, there is no such restriction (yet) although this may change in the future, especially as the economic situation in the EU worsen, and there will be a tendency for increased crime, violent protests, or even a collapse of the economy.

As Luciferian it is only logical to prepare a few items that will ensure survival, even in extreme situations, or during crisis, to continue to be the light that shines in the darkness.
